High Bred Simmental is a family-owned and operated Purebred Simmental and Sim-Angus seedstock ranch located in the southeastern edge of the Kansas Flint Hills.

The Luthi family began breeding Simmental cattle in 1972, after Hal was introduced to the breed in college at Kansas State University.

The priority and focus is on producing phenotypically and genetically superior cattle that display structural integrity and functionality. Optimizing the important production traits of calving ease, growth, disposition, maternal and carcass traits, while maintaining a moderate efficient size. Utilizing Expected Progeny Differences (EPD’s) to produce seedstock to benefit the commercial cowman and purebred operator alike.
