Our 19th annual production sale

With good friends, Dave Marple and Trefan Francis, we welcome you to our 19th annual production sale.

We have certainly been through another challenging year as we had to bunch cows for water and now a drink is available every few steps. We’ve had some tremendous reports of premiums received on calves and feeders when Simgenetics are shared at auction time. With a new local packing plant in the works there has never been a better time to update your bull battery and take advantage.

We continue to stack high calving ease to yearling weight spread sires to maximize predictability. We are proud to share our grandson, Cohen’s home raised steer won the county fair rate of gain contest and was champion in the carcass contest, grading prime. We have two new AI sires this year, High Road and Bold Ruler. Both are sons of the highly respected WS Sugar C4 cow with High Road sired by Beacon and Bold Ruler by a Cowboy Cut son. To this end we have purchased two Guardian (highest API in the breed) with 157 and 162 yearling weight EPD’s and 180 API’s. There will be a sample in this years offering.

We look forward to renewing old acquaintances on Saturday or better yet, stop in Friday afternoon when it’s not quite as hectic. Our family has had another blessed year and hope you enjoy pictures of grandchildren as they continue to bloom.
